I spent this last weekend with my friend Michael Pace working on a collaboration. He wanted to photograph a friend and I needed a photographer for my new bridal line, it worked wonderfully. Here is a sneak preview of what happened, this is one of our three wedding dresses, handmade with 100% organic cotton knit. They are all hand appliqued and embroidered as well. All three dresses will be available online starting next week!
While looking for inspiration for my fall line, I stumbled upon a amazing artist I wanted to share with you all. Petra Borner is a very versatile and talented Swedish artist, illustrator, and designer. I love her choice in color, and specially admire her cut paper collages like the one below:

What I love about her work, other than its beautiful aesthetic, is that each piece seems to have a great depth and story to it, as if there are secret worlds waiting to be discovered if you look a bit closer.

Thought I would share with you all a couple of things I’m very grateful for. I spend most of my mornings in this little corner of my house, getting back to clients, disorganizing and organizing ideas, sewing colors and textures together, and playing music that makes it hard for me to stay still in my chair. I have grown to LOVE this corner. I know that no matter how hard the day has been, and no matter how sad or disappointed about something I might be, I can always come back to this little corner of endless of possibilities…
I also love the company of this little agave plant while I wash my dishes…
